The Greek island of Kos is extremely hot during the summer months. When the sun goes down the nightlife gets going. Kos has great bars and nightclubs to enjoy all night long.
However, the Kos nightlife isn’t as busy as the likes of Kavos, Malia and Ayia Napa; it’s a lot more chilled and less busy than these party destinations.
The nightlife area to go is called Kardenma. This place has a well-known strip called Bar Street. Up and down the strip there are many bars to enjoy a well earned drink.
You can order many types of drinks such as fish bowls, cocktails or a good old beer. All of the drinks prices are reasonable in the bars and clubs.
To experience the busiest time in Kos it’s recommended to go in June, July or August. Other months like May, September or October will be less busy.
When in Kos expect plenty of parties such as foam and paint parties. Theses parties will be in the clubs and they are definitely a must.
There is another nightlife area called Kos Town. This is the capital of Kos and has many bars, beach bars, pubs and nightclubs. Lambi and Psalidi are close places to Kos Town and both have bars and clubs for you to enjoy.
Other areas in Kos include Psalidi, Stefanos, Agios, Tigaki and Mastihari but these are very quiet with a small number of bars.
Nightclubs and Bars
Kardenma has some nightclubs to keep you partying well into the early hours of the morning. One nightclub you have to visit is Downtown club – this place has great music and is a very popular venue.
Another club to head to is Starlight. The club holds over 1,000 people and the atmosphere is electric. Status club is another recommended place to party all night long! There are many bars on the Kardenma strip; some great ones to try out are Bliss bar, Jam bar, Bar 1960 and the Atheneon bar.
Things to Do
In the day there are plenty of things to do in Kardenma. You can visit the beach and try out the watersports. You can go on one of the many host trips, go karting, go snorkeling and more. Kos Town is a 30 minute drive from Kardema so it might be worth visiting the Kos capital.
The town is an historic town so there many sights to see. There is also a harbour where you can go on some of the many boat trips. One event that you shouldn’t miss out on is the Summerstar.
This is an open air party featuring international DJs which starts in the middle of July and is on every week until the end of August. Summerstar near Kos Town is definitely for the place for party people.
